EQAO staff will demonstrate technology enhanced items that are designed to provide students in Ontario with a more engaging and interactive experience as they write the digitalized OSSLT. Participants will also learn how the adaptive Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics adjusts to a student’s proficiency level as they complete the assessment.
This session will showcase features of the online system that are designed to mitigate test-anxiety and improve accessibility for all students. Participants will learn how built-in accessibility features such as a text-to
speech function and a line reader can help remove barriers for students.
Participants will learn about:
- the new multi-stage computer adaptive testing model used in the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics
- the testlet-based delivery model for the 2021 online Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test.
- accessibility tools built into the digitalized online assessments
